A note to my readers:

The Highland Defender/Lords of the Highlands novels take place from the late 1600’s to early 1700’s. This was an interesting era in Scotland. By this time the country had already been under the English monarchy for 200 years. The gentry was often in London fulfilling their duty to the king/queen. This also was a period of time when the laws of etiquette were established and very stringent especially for anyone in the upper class. I tried to reflect the societal change in these books, thus the behavior of the characters is somewhat more refined than that of my books from earlier time periods.

Also, in 2017 Lords of the Highlands books will be released by Hachette Book Group’s imprint Grand Central/Forever. These take place during the first Jacobite uprising and are written with the same theme as the Highland Defender books. My Grand Central/Forever novels will be released in mass market paperback and e-book in 2017. I’m very excited to be writing for them!
